INVASION - British over India
'An illustration of the brute force India was up against. An illustration of an unknown-dark-life-less force trying to take over. An illustration of the past.'
The title speaks for its self, as it is an invasion of the British forces. The use of the gray and black tint was mainly to convey the message of lifeless savages trying to trying the feast on what ever they can. Further on, the less detail on the faces, is meant to illustrate the 'unknown' - the fear of not knowing who these people are and what mind set they are in. The illustration of no background and scenery is to implicate memory in a way that only something significant gets remembered. For which in this piece, the fear of death was the only thing significant from these savages; no ground, tree, lake, house or even the sky mattered.
